By downloading, using, or purchasing Time Garden, you agree to these terms. Time Garden is the ultimate journaling template for Obsidian.md, available as a free download with optional premium AI features.
Free Version: Anyone can download Time Garden for free by providing their email address. You get the complete template system with beautiful daily notes, 30+ charts, 100+ template modules, custom CSS styling, and mobile support. The free version gives you an incredible journaling experience in Obsidian.
Time Garden Eternal ($99): Unlocks all AI features through a license key you paste into your Time Garden settings. This includes AI summaries, ratings, insights, Wheel of Life analysis, Q&A functionality, and all future premium templates. It's a lifetime license with no recurring fees.
Student Discount: Students can get free lifetime AI access by verifying their student status at support@timegarden.app. Student licenses include AI features but do not include future premium templates (which will be available in our upcoming template store).
Free Users: Complete Time Garden template system, installation on unlimited devices, works offline indefinitely, all basic features and charts, and community support.
Eternal License Holders: Everything in free version plus unlimited AI processing (runs locally via Ollama), all current AI features, all future premium templates, priority email support, and lifetime updates.
Student License Holders: Everything in free version plus unlimited AI processing, but excludes future premium templates from our upcoming template store.
Use Time Garden for personal journaling and business productivity. Modify templates, settings, and styling for your workflow. Create content using Time Garden's features (AI or non-AI). Share your customizations and tips with the community (encouraged!). Use Time Garden professionally, for client work, and in consulting services. Install any Ollama-compatible AI models you prefer.
Don't redistribute Time Garden commercially or share license keys. Don't reverse engineer the obfuscated plugin code (it's really hard anyway, and breaks the system). Don't remove or modify the core plugin - it breaks the template. Don't use our code to create competing products. We focus on preventing commercial exploitation, not personal sharing between friends.
Time Garden uses LemonSqueezy as our Merchant of Record (MoR). This means LemonSqueezy is the legal seller of Time Garden, handling all payments, taxes, compliance, refunds, and customer support for payment-related issues. When you purchase Time Garden Eternal, you're technically buying from LemonSqueezy LLC (Salt Lake City, Utah), though you receive our product and support.
LemonSqueezy collects your email, name, and payment information during checkout, then provides us access to this data through our seller dashboard to deliver your Time Garden license and provide support. They also handle email delivery for receipts, downloads, and our newsletter (easily unsubscribable). LemonSqueezy operates under their own privacy policy and terms of service, which you should review.
AI features require downloading and running Ollama locally on your device. We recommend Phi4, DeepSeek-R1, and Mistral, but you can use any compatible models. All AI processing happens on your device - we have zero access to your conversations or insights. You're responsible for AI-generated content and following model license terms.
Students can email support@timegarden.app with verification (student ID, .edu email, enrollment proof) to receive a free AI license. Student licenses include all current AI features but exclude future premium templates that will be available in our template store. One license per student, intended for personal use only.
Earn commissions through our LemonSqueezy affiliate system. Requirements: honestly represent Time Garden's features, follow advertising laws, disclose your affiliate relationship, and maintain quality marketing (no spam or misleading claims). Commission rates and terms are managed through LemonSqueezy.
Updates are delivered via email with new download links. Free users get template and styling updates. Eternal license holders get everything including AI feature improvements. We commit to Obsidian compatibility, bug fixes, and feature improvements based on community feedback.
Support priority: Check documentation first, try Time Garden's built-in help, search community discussions, then email support@timegarden.app. Eternal license holders get priority response (within 2-3 days), free users within 1 week. We help with Time Garden functionality, not general Obsidian troubleshooting.
Eternal license purchasers get a full 30-day money-back guarantee. Not satisfied? Email support@timegarden.app with your order number for a full refund within 30 days of purchase - no questions asked. We'd rather have happy customers than unhappy ones with our money.
What's ours: Time Garden plugin code, templates, documentation, branding, and custom implementations. What's yours: Your vault content, customizations, AI-generated insights, and personal workflows. What's protected: The obfuscated plugin contains our core IP and shouldn't be reverse engineered or redistributed.
We're building a template store for specialized Time Garden modules. Eternal license holders get all future premium templates included. Student license holders and free users can purchase templates separately. Pricing and terms for the template store will be announced separately.
Time Garden is provided "as is" without warranties. We strive for reliability but can't guarantee uninterrupted functionality, compatibility with all systems, or freedom from bugs. Our maximum liability is limited to what you paid for your license. We're not liable for data loss (backup your vault!), third-party software issues, or AI model problems.
You can stop using Time Garden anytime. We may terminate licenses for significant violations, commercial redistribution, illegal activities, or support abuse. We'll provide reasonable notice when possible. You always retain access to your local vault data and the free version of Time Garden.
We may update these terms with 30 days notice via email. Material changes require your continued use to indicate acceptance. These terms are governed by German law with jurisdiction in Hamburg, Germany.
